El Arca de Noe was founded in London in 2011 by Liliana Serna Cano, Alba Lucia Arbelaez Quintero and the technical support of Carlos Ronceros.
They were concerned about the distance felt by individuals from different faiths and the divisions between some faith communities. They felt that the shared histories, traditions and values of Christianity and Catholics offered great opportunities for bringing people together, providing a shared response to certain issues. El Arca de Noe was not set up as a religious organisation, but brought together to represented and supported people from Spanish and Portuguese speakers in London UK. What started as a space where group leaders could meet, develop, learning and sharing the gifts of the Holy Spirit.
For many years, the Faith has focused on improving understanding between the Christian and Catholics communities and their engagement with wider society. We though that by engaging the leaders of the faith communities through seminars and event planning, and at the grass-roots level in developing local and professional faith groups and leaders in the community we are able to span the fruits of the spirit, special in this climate and changes.
In November 12th 2011 the Faith embarked all of us as a Family program by launching “The Noah’s Ark” web page (www.elarcadenoe.org.uk) where the information about community services, charismatic groups, catholic churches, prayer groups and services for the Spanish and Portuguese speakers will be linked including, TV and radio on line.
